Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir proved themselves to be the strongest in the world mixed doubles gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games Rio. Not always at the top, and their performance was up and down.

Pelatnas the mixed doubles coach Richard Mainaky, had difficulties when seeking a new partner for Liliyana Natsir. He needs players with the ability son above average and (more importantly) have a winning mentality. Because, Richard could not miscast. Liliyana the middle of the couple looked for a player who never want to lose. He also has entered the ranks of the world elite.
