The match between Barcelona and Las Palmas in Nou on Sunday (10/01/2017) remains in the title even without a football audience. Previously, this match was planned to be postponed after a riot during the Catalan referendum.
"We are deeply affected by the unrest and we decided rather than postpone it, we played it without the audience," Bartomeu said as reported in the US.
Currently in Spain it is echoing the issue of a referendum that opens up Catalan possibilities for independence from Spain. If independence it will affect the gait Barcelona in the Spanish League. However, the central government considers voting to be illegal.
