Hyacinth Bulbs For Alternative Energy Fuel

To meet the needs of the household scale industries that are energy efficient, so many people who took the initiative to seek alternative energy fuel that has been available given the increasing pace of energy supply of fuel in our country. Departing from the idea that there was made an investigation and take a sample of water hyacinth and the results showed that in fact the water hyacinth has a simple energy reserve that can be used in household scale. Hyacinth which has another name 'Eichornia crassipes' is a kind of living water plants floating on the water surface. Will breed when filled with agricultural waste or plants that became indicator where the location / river was already polluted / waste. Weeds (bully) is divided into two kinds, namely: regular hyacinth (genjer): aquatic plants that grow in the fields and young leaves. Flowers buds can be used as vegetables (Can be eaten by humans) Hyacinth: hidrofit type of plant. This plant is not edible and even weeds have become a nuisance plant for other plants and animals around it. Despite having a bully nature, water hyacinth turned out to play an important role in reducing the levels of heavy metals in water reservoirs such as Fe, Zn, Cu, and Hg. In addition, the water hyacinth can absorb heavy metals. And most interestingly, these plants contain cellulose in large quantities. And this cellulose that can be used as an alternative fuel. To make Biogas Water Hyacinth, it must first be prepared several tools and materials needed. Materials and tools are grouped into two working tools, namely: TOOL WORK-1 3 pieces of drum contents 200 liter 1 piece drum contents 100 liters of 1 meter galvanized pipe, size 3 inches 5 meter hose rubber / plastic 3 pieces ball valve, the size of ½ inch 50 cm pipe, size 6 ½ inch hose Kleman fruit, ½ inch size Welding drum
HOW TO MAKING EQUIPMENT1. Fermentation Equipment Two 200 liter drum disposed of the top cover and both are connected with welded horizontally. On the left and right side 3-inch pipe installed along the 50 cm that is useful to include the water hyacinth that has been chopped / ground and the other pipes as disposal. After that at the top of the fermentation drum mounted pipe ½ inch and ½ inch ball valve attached to the hose.2. Gas Receiver Equipment Drum size 100 liter bottom cover removed, then the lid section that is not disposed mounted 2 pieces pipe ½ inch and ½ inch ball valve to be connected with the hose from the fermentation chamber and into the gas stove. Then, the gas which shelters the sides or cover, be put into a 200-liter drum which already contains 100 liters of water. In addition to gas storage tool is made of plastic material measuring 120 cm long and 60 cm diameter. Gas storage tool is inserted into a 200 liter drum which has been filled with water. If gas from water hyacinth has been entered into the tool storage drum or plastic then be seen floating. The water functions as a suppressor. The water will compress the gas up. Because water and gas are not. Figure 1.3 The biogas digester tank
PRODUCTION PROCESSHyacinth production process is very simple, only need equipment such as fermentation tube connected to the gas collector tube and passed on to the stove. Only three parts are required in this biogas, fermentation tubes, tubes for gas storage, as well as media-burning stove. Before being inserted into the tube fermentation, water hyacinth must first be chopped or finely ground. After that clean water mixed 1: 1. For example, 20 kg of water hyacinth mixed with 20 liters of water, then stirred evenly. Once mixed, insert the pipe into the hole that had been prepared at the left end of the tube fermentation gas will flow into the drum shelter after a few days. Water hyacinth that has been crushed as much as 20 kg can produce gas that can be worn for 7 days, and every day can be used for 30 minutes. Water hyacinth weighing 30 kg which has been chopped without ground can produce a gas that can be worn for 7 days, and every day can be used for 90 minutes. When using biogas for cooking, fermentation tubes can be filled again with new water hyacinth. Continuously hyacinth can be continuously fed into the tube fermentation. Because the tube is mounted in the pipeline for processing, waste water hyacinth will flow by itself when the new water hyacinth into the tube. This waste can be used for compost.
