Tirana - A city in Albania, southeastern Europe, making elected president United States (US) Donald Trump as an honorary citizen. Trump praised the local city authorities as a revolutionary figure after his victory in the US presidential election.
As reported by AFP on Friday (11/25/2016), Trump became a freeman of a town called Kamza, within a few kilometers of the capital Tirana. Trump made the decision as a freeman is determined through voting at city hall on Wednesday (23/11) local time.
Results of voting unanimously to give the position of honor it was to Trump. Compliments were raised by the Mayor of Kamza Xhelal Mziu for Trump. "Donald Trump is an example of a revolutionary new form of democracy," said Mziu told AFP.
"Great leaders in the modern era," said Mziu for Trump.
Mziu also praised Trump victory against the media during the US presidential campaign. "He (Trump-ed) won the battle in the midst of media attacks," said Mziu.
In Albania, Mziu listed as members of the opposition Prime Minister Edi Rama. During the US election campaign, Prime Minister Rama openly supported Trump rival, Hillary Clinton is the candidate of the Democratic Party.
Most ethnic Albanians themselves support Hillary because of the role her husband, former US president Bill Clinton in NATO operations against Serbia in the Kosovo War in 1998-1999.
Kamza city has a history of paying homage to a foreign leader. There are streets with names of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the city.

Cities with a population of 100 thousand inhabitants, it also has a street named world famous cities, such as Paris, New York and Tokyo. "We can always close our eyes and dream we are in Paris or New York, but when we opened her eyes, the reality is difficult," said one city resident Kamza, Jeta (57), who is the mother of four children.
Over the years, the city of Kamza attended by people from the mountainous region of Albania who moved to the city in order to avoid poverty.
